Transformers: The Game Screenshot

Activision has given us the pleasure of releasing a screenshot of their upcoming Transformers game. Yes, one. And the sad thing is… it doesn’t even look that good. Yeah, it looks crisp and all that junk on the little compressed, shrunken down version I’m using as a banner. Seriously, click it. You’ll see just how freaking ugly it is. Jaggies like a mofo, to be kind. Although I do like the idea of a realistic and dirty world for my Autobots to run around in.

Look, we all know that, deep down, the Transformers movie is going to fail on a massive scale. I mean, it’s Michael Bay. As we also know, movie-based games are notoriously bad, with almost no exceptions (sans LOTR: The Two Towers for being a mediocre, repetitive hack-n-slash). Yet… we’ll still play it. We’ll still love it, too. Why?

…because it has Optimus Prime. That’s why.
