eBay Xbox 360 Elite sellers victims of fraud
So if you haven’t heard, a bunch of people who jumped on the bandwagon of the Xbox 360 Elite (instead of waiting a few weeks to see if they performed better) with intentions of selling them on eBay are now finding that the users who had the winning bid on their item is no longer a registered user.
Case in point: A man on eBay sold his Xbox 360 Elite for $1,500. That’s a Buy It Now price, by the way. Either way, the eventual buyer, an “acole9489″ fellow, is now an unregistered user. Now for the record, with eBay you can choose to block users with negative feedback. BUT, you can’t block users who are new, and have zero feedback. That’s how this kind of fraud can be done.
Now, this isn’t the first time sellers have gotten screwed. When the PS3 launched, there were many people who fell victim to this same scheme. But the other story of this is the prices some of these people are trying to sell their Elites for. $1,500? Can you say “kiss my ass?” Hell, with those kind of prices, you kind of deserve getting robbed.
