Mill o’ Rumour: Microsoft to buy Take-Two?

Worth Playing has a most interesting rumor regarding the Take-Two situation. As you all know, Take-Two recently announced that they may be up for sale, and are currently looking at all of their options. Well, Worth Playing has heard “from the grapevine” (I never did get that expression) that the rumor being spread through the Rockstar North offices is that Microsoft has, indeed, put in a bid for Take-Two Interactive.

Now, whether or not this rumor is true is up for debate, but I don’t think I have to point out that if Microsoft did in fact buy Take-Two, that it would change the entire landscape of this current console war. After all, Sony doesn’t have too many cards to play right now and you better believe that GTA IV is one of those cards. Take that card away, and you’re looking at a very, very bleak picture for the PS3.
