CONTEST: Design Our Banner!

by JW

J.W. here, reminding you all that we’re currently holding a contest. You design a banner for the site, and if you win, you get a copy of GTA IV. If it’s especially awesome, I’ll even splurge a bit and get you the Lock Box edition. Now, here’s what Paco said.
——
On Monday, JW made the world aware of a contest here at the Rally. I have had a couple of questions about the contest, on top of we both post Xbox news like mad men, so take this as a reminder of the contest as well!

oOo

Click “Read the rest of this entry” for Rules and Regulations!

Rules:

What we need - A logo for the site. This will be the top banner on all pages, use the image above for reference on how it would appear on the site.

The Dimensions - 728×90

How to enter - Post the image in the comments section below (or here) and/or email us directly. If you need a host for your image, I recommend ImageShack.us, they are free and do not require an email to sign up or anything to use its services.

Filetypes - A .PSD file (Photoshop file) is preferred, however .jpegs/.png/.gif/etc are accepted. Just remember that quality can count for or against you, so try and make sure it is of good quality.

The Prize - Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360.

Contest Ends - October 1st is a good date. It falls on a Monday, that way you have the full weekend beforehand to ensure your victory.

A couple of hints on how I will judging, I like lulz, humor is a good thing, but a serious bad ass design will of course take precedence over that. Obvious colors that would work well are Xbox’s green/white design. Using lots of copyrighted images may or may not help your entry (ie using the official Xbox “X” might help you, where as copying and pasting a big Peter Moore head might not help so much). Don’t let my hints take away from your creativity though, if your logo is funny, good, and has Moore all over it, yet.. it still looks great as a logo, you are going to win.

“All artwork will be considered, but in the end we only have room for one winner. SO… get to work. And make it good.” - JW
