HD-DVD gets an update

Listen up all you HD-DVD owners. You may have noticed this morning, when you turned on your Xbox 360, that you had to download an update. Well, this is because Microsoft has updated the software for their add-on, and the fixes include…

-A/V Sync issues have been remedied
-Those Dosc-Read compatibility issues have been tended to
-Night Mode/DRV has been added
-You can now choose DTS over DD for audio re-sampling

What this means, is a mystery to me. After all, I have not yet joined the new age of HD-DVD. Sniffle. But I’m sure that, to all you HD-DVD people out there, this is good news.
