Beautiful Katamari a 360 Exclusive?

According to a report from Newsweek’s N’Gai Croal, Namco and Microsoft are very close to hacking out a deal that would make the next entry in the cutesy sticky-ball-rolling Katamari franchise.

We’ve since confirmed that an exclusivity deal between Namco and Microsoft is very close to fruition, likely to be announced at the E3 Media and Business Summit in July.

If this does indeed happen, this is only good news for Microsoft. Especially in Japan, where they’ve kind of failed, only replace “kind of” with “totally”. This past week the Xbox 360 moved only 2500 units in Japan, and had ZERO titles in the Japan top 50. Microsoft needs this deal if they want to get ANY momentum going in the land of the rising sun.
