351,000+ games of Halo 3 in 24 hour span

Monday Bungie recorded over 350,000 games of the Halo 3 Beta in the span of a single twenty-four hour period. The exact number?

351,818.

…that’s a lot of Spartan-on-Spartan violence. 351,818 games, between 246,200 players in a single day. That is simply absurd. Especially for a dem–er, I mean, “beta”.

I guess this proves the point that many were quick to make last week — once the servers went online, and the Halo fanatics got a chance to sit down and play Halo 3, this whole Crackdown-owners not being able to log in would go the way of the dinosaur.
