Grand Theft Auto IV - New Magazine Scans, New Info

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

German gaming site GTAengine was able to bring the lovely world of the internet scans from a magazine called Games Aktuell. In the scans was some pretty cool info as well as some characters you may not have known about previously. The scans seem to have been taken down, luckily a NeoGAF user was able to save them and repost them for me to save and share with you! Enjoy the 9 scans, then check below that for some new info about the game, which is definitely shaping up to be quite a grand scale outing of GTA for the next gen.

Rock Band - The Drums (pic)

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

RIP Peter
The KitAlready featured before is a pic of the beautiful Fender guitar for the game (pic link). Now comes a nice image of the drum kit from G4’s “The Feed.” Not only does this kit look pretty sturdy from the pic, just remember what Harmonix said to IGN during their hand’s on, “If you can play the drum parts on hard, you can pretty much play the drums.”

(Click thumbnail of the drums above and to the right to enlarge and be amazed)

Fatal Inertia - Future Hover Racing using Unreal Engine - Screenshots

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

Coming September and originally set to be one of those crazy PS3 exclusives that keep dropping like flies *cough link cough*. Fatal Inertia is looking to be one bad ass futuristic racing game ala F-Zero. (Note: Yes, this is yet another title using the Unreal Engine!)

Silent Hill V Coming to 360 - Screenshots + Press Release

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Pyramid Head Childrens BookI remember saying a couple months back that the game was not not confirmed! Now it has come to fruition. So despite the claims of 360 possibly having the ability to “exact limitations which could delay progress,” it looks as though that doesn’t stop a company from knowing if they want to make money back on their games, they have to make sure it is on a system that people actually own.

Enjoy the screenshots first, then the full press release following them. (Note: First two screens are pretty big sized, detailed, and ready to make into wallpapers)

Fable 2 Screenshots!

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

fable2banner.jpg

Without a doubt, Fable 2 is one of the the most anticipated games for the Xbox 360. We all want it, of course. Unfortulately, Lionhead Studios has been VERY secretive about the project, giving us only a few concept art renderings to hold us over. Until now.

Ladies and Gents — the first official in-game Fable 2 Screenshots.

Project Gotham Racing 4 Getting Motorcycles

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

vrooooom

Bizarre Creations PGR series has just expanded its line up of cars … to include bikes! On top of the already cool news of the weather changes (see: rain and snow), they have completely flipped the whole series up by including the bikes.

Okay, maybe it isn’t the end of the world, but a good thing actually. Bikes, though we all know to be fast machines, obviously can’t take turns as well as a car, and of course they have factored in such things for the game. Graphically, as you can see from the screenshots below, these bikes will be looking as detailed, if not more so, than the already beautiful looking car models in the game. Keep an eye on BizarreCreations.com for some videos of the bikes in action within this next couple of weeks. For now, enjoy the screenshots:

Halo 3 In Game Master Chief Pic - Halo 2 Maps within Two Days!

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

Hail to Me
Bungie posted an update on their page including this pic along with this little note:

Well, well well, what’s going on here? We’re saying nothing about what’s going on in the above image other than it is a screenshot taken in-game from Halo 3. You may now commence rabid speculation, inevitably followed by wishing that you were friends with a super genius doctor who was willing to drive you to Sept. 25 in his ’80s sports car. Want a meatier version?

In other news, the two maps that were released in April, Tombstone and Desolation, are going to be FREE “the first week of July” .. which, by my super calculations which I have been working on for months, means Bungie has two more days to bring them to me! (Yeah I still play Halo 2!)

New Halo 3 Screens

NOTE: The last two images are pretty damn big! Originally, they were over 3300 pixels wide. WIDE! I shrank ‘em down to about 1280 wide.

Clive Barker’s Jericho - 6 New Screens

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

rawr

Codemasters is becoming quite one of my favorite developers. With Overlord doing quite well with those who game (link) as well as the very kick ass looking Rise of Argonauts (link), along comes another title, which I already knew about before, but really hadn’t taken a good glance at as of yet. The six new screens show how well the concept art is turning into in game screens (which I am still at disbelief at some of them being in game.. in fact, throwing this in the “Concept Art” section of the site as well just in case). Judge for yourself and enjoy looking at these amazingly creative characters in the first person shooter that might be killing the future of Condemned 2 and F.E.A.R. 2, with the aid of one bad ass horror man of both word and visuals, Clive Barker.

Mass Effect in Full Effect for E3

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Though Mass Effect won’t be under anyone’s tree this Christmas, Bioware has released a couple of new tidbits for and about the game. Wrex

First are four new images of the character Wrex, the Krogan Battle Master (scroll down for those), as well as having up on the bioware.com site a nice flash animation of the character that you can click on and hear some of the voice over work used with him. So take a sec to check him out in motion and find out a little about how he was betrayed by his own Krogan peeps here.

Second news bit is Chris Priestly has confirmed today that Mass Effect will be at E3 on a forum post here .. other than the confirmation however, he releases no other information, bastard! Oh well, for now, enjoy the four new screens and then head over to Bioware.com to see a little more of Wrex.

Lots of Soul Calibur IV News

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

soul-calibur-4.jpg

Holy Freaking Crap, Soul Calibur IV is looking better and better and better with each passing day. The latest bit of true news is that Soul Calibur IV, which many believe will be the last in the series, will FINALLY have online play. In the most recent issue of EGM, Soul Calibur IV director Katsutoshi Sasaki stressed that Soul Calibur IV WILL have Online Play, explaining that with the build-in online infrastructures that both the Xbox 360 (Xbox Live) and the PS3 (Playstation Network) have, there really would have been no excuse to NOT have it in.

Now, as for the pretty pictures… Xboxygen has the scans from the recent EGM article, to which the above image is from. Now, I’m warning you that, depending on where you work, the images of Ivy (My #3 Video Game Crush, by the by) may be a bit NSFW.

And finally, rounding out the trio of Soul Calibur IV stories… someone at Namco-Bandai loves boobies. Like… really, really loves boobies. Games Radar noticed that Ivy’s chest has grown… exponentially since SC III. I mean, those are freaking huge! And that’s not the most telling part, oh no. There has been a recent trend in the later Soul Calibur titles of increasing the average chest size of their characters, as Games Radar also notes.

Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel - New Screenshots

Friday, June 1st, 2007

The Seraphim
Filefront reports:

ASCARON, one of the leading German developers of interactive entertainment and computer software, today released never-before-seen screens for SACRED 2 - Fallen Angel. The action role-playing game for Xbox 360(TM) and PC platforms promises sweeping cinema-quality graphics in a dynamic fantasy setting.SACRED 2 is the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed SACRED which sold more than 1.8 million copies worldwide. Scheduled for release in 2008, the story is set 2000 years before the original and features a stunning 3D world. Action RPG fans can also look forward to a number of sophisticated new features, as well as the return of the hack-and-slash gameplay made popular in the original title.

Check out the new screens via Filefront.com here as well as a nice amount of old pics as well as other goodies from the official site at Sacred2.com. Though my eyes are currently only for Codemasters Overlord at the moment as far as an Action RPG may go, after checking their site out, this game certainly seems interesting and look forward to more updates on it.

Overlord by Codemasters - Lots of new screens/art

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

*snikt* WOLVERINE I cannot tell a lie. This game is one I look forward to more than Halo 3 (okay, maybe right under Halo 3). Seriously, go buy a Gamecube, rent Pikmin (probable total cost = $20 more or less), and see why I would get all excited over this game that no one seems to give us news about.

Well the nice folks at Xboxyde got screenshots and decided to share with the world. They were sent by Codemasters themselves over to them in the form of a press kit. I am sure mine is on the way Codemasters, probably just lost in the mail.. right guys… right. Well to see all the screens, take a gander over at Xboxyde.
