Reserve Halo 3 at 7-11 TODAY!

by JW

Yes, you read that right. 7-11 is currently accepting pre-orders for Halo 3. There are at least two known locations where this deal is taking place (Huntington beach, CA and Detroit, MI), and there are likely more.

This begs the question — has 7-11 and Microsoft partnered up to further market Halo 3? Considering that 7-11 has recently had two very successful ad campaigns with both Spider-Man 3 and The Simpsons Movie, it seems very, very likely.

At the time of this writing, neither Microsoft or 7-11 have responded to e-mails.

[...] I think what can make a franchise stand the test of time is improvements as they are made available through hardware and software upgrades/updates. Of course different game genres may call for different things to be considered progression, but as far as the Halo series, as long as Master Chief is still wielding a gun, the storyline is progressing, and the multiplayer has a crapload more options, I’m in. I am honestly not sure what everyone else is trying to get out of the very overly hyped Halo 3. [...]
